In 2007,2008,2009, the Australian surf lifesaving championships were held at Scarborough beach, Perth.  Surf clubs form every corner of the nation became tribal and competitive. Gladiators, donned in the bare minimum of clothing, happily inflicted pain on themselves inthe search for team results and personal bests.
